In Japanese folklore an Amabie was a long harred, three legged, merman/mermaid with a mouth like a bird and covered in scales. As legend goes, it appeared from the sea off the coast of Kumamoto and said "if there is an epidemic, draw a picture of me and show it to everyone and those who fall ill will be cured". This enamel pin is a symbol of protection and with the help of energtic healer Greg Sato, a special protective shield has been applied.
